You will struggle if you need immediate feedback or prefer work that stays in one lane. The role shifts between deep technical work and stakeholder management, and you don't get to choose when. You also work in the background. Developers and product teams get credit for launches, and you get blamed when things are slow or expensive. That imbalance wears on people who want visible recognition.
