Watchmaker (Independent)
Impact: Creating mechanical timepieces of extraordinary complexity and beauty that represent the pinnacle of human craft
Design, assemble, and service mechanical watch movements from scratch or from components, producing independent watch brands or one-of-a-kind timepieces for collectors. Develop original movement designs, machine components on a watchmaker's lathe, assemble and regulate movements, and design and produce cases, dials, and hands. Exhibit work at international watch fairs; build relationships with collectors and watch media; and teach watchmaking masterclasses.
