What the work is really like

You take layers that arrive separately and make them look like they were shot together. A greenscreen actor, a digital matte painting, smoke rendered by the effects department, lens flares, color correction, motion blur. Your job is to assemble them into a shot that holds up when an audience watches it on a cinema screen. You work in software like Nuke, After Effects, or Fusion, building node trees or layer stacks that can run to hundreds of operations.
